BIM - Tritech Engineering
In Tritech we continually strive for greater efficiencies & improvements in how we deliver our services to our clients. As we are involved in projects through design, construction and maintenance we looked to the future and decided to commit investment in BIM through the procurement of software & training our engineers.
BIM greatest strength is productivity. BIM, the beginning of a new era for construction.
We explored the market and found that through partnerships with industry professionals the perceived barriers to using BIM as a services coordination tool on projects where the architectural model does not exist are easily overcome. We have delivered projects utilising Revit MEP to co-ordinate plant rooms & instantly found the quality of the end product was enhanced with greater efficiencies on site.
We recently decided to coordinate a project consisting of laboratories, cellular and open plan areas however existing structure was delivered by traditional methods and required development of the model with our specialist partners resulting in an “as built virtual environment” where we then developed our services model.
This allowed the client to review the virtual model and demonstrate the exposed service look that was fundamental to the success of this project.Having implemented the use of BIM in 2012 we have gained in-house experience & identified productivity gains that can be earned by utilising BIM. Having embraced the technology early we are now ahead of the curve in delivering bespoke solutions to meet our client requirements.
