Project Scope:

Tritech Engineering were appointed as MEP Services contractor for the 2 floors of High-end office fitout at Station Building II, Hatch Street Upper, Dublin 2. The mains works included the services associated with the strip out of the previous Category A fitout to the installation of a Category B fitout to suit Fidelis’ requirements. The works included full fitout including dali controlled lighting, emergency lighting, life safety services, general power services & data network.

Client vision/objectives:

The design intent was to provide a unique, high-end all-encompassing, user-friendly workspace that promotes staff contentment and sustainability while sympathetic to the original 1860 structure of the building. Consolidation and reorganisation of the workplace, to facilitate and encourage a more collaborative working model and to meet the requirements of Hybrid working.

Unique challenges of the project:

At high level the ceiling was exposed displaying the existing trusses of the structure. As we were required to conserve the integrity of the building, careful coordination of the high level services was required so there were no clashes and to avoid damaging any of the steel. The services had to be symmetric and neat as they became an architectural feature in the large open plan office.

Tritech Methods/Innovations:

Tritech’s management team continually liaised with design team and clients management team to ensure all of the new services blended seamlessly with the old features of the building. This required detailed survey and careful coordination.
Tritech worked closely with the client's team to ensure the most sustainable friendly technologies and products were utilised throughout the project.
