Project Scope:
Tritech completed the full electrical installation of this 348 bedroom student accommodation in the heart of the city centre. It comprised of 6 blocks that ranged from 3 to 6 floors constructed over future retail units.
Client vision/objectives:
To obtain a strong foothold in the student accommodation market, Scape designed an ultra modern facility that reflected the architecture that existed in their London premises. The funky layouts are extremely attractive to the student market which ensured a full occupancy rate.
Unique challenges of the project:
As the building was constructed on top of retail units and had several conservation areas within the project, riser volume & access routes were extremely limited. Exposed services also created difficulty with limited ceiling height available.
Tritech Methods/Innovations:
Tritech were engaged at the pre-construction stage to ensure co-ordination of ground duct works would provide sufficient capacity for electrical services linking all 6 blocks. Our experienced BIM team also led the co-ordination process with all trades to complete a detailed clash free exposed services layout.
