Helping young professionals achieve their potential.
Identifying someone’s natural talent and skills and managing their career is crucial for helping them achieve their ambitions. It’s not always obvious exactly what we want to do with our careers, and it can be especially challenging for young professionals at the start of their careers. At Tritech, we value our people’s ambitions and provide direction and guidance to help them progress on a career path that’s right for them.
Dáire O Connor joined us in February 2022 as a procurement administrator. He learned the procurement processes and established a rapport with our supply chain partners. Unfortunately this role wasn’t aligning with Daire’s ambitions and he offered his resignation.
HR and our Electrical Director @Fergal Reilly met with Dáire to understand his current and future ambitions. We realised his interests and ambitions were more aligned with a career in estimating, specifically in the area of value engineering and researching alternative options for materials and equipment on projects.
The outcome was Dáire was offered a position as junior electrical estimator and he transitioned to the estimating team in September 2022. He has adapted to his new role and is very happy that he is now in a position where he can progress and establish himself as a senior estimator.
Providing support and guidance to young professionals as they navigate their careers is crucial to maintaining a happy, productive workforce. Dáire is a valued member of the Tritech team and we look forward to working alongside him as he achieves his ambitions and progresses in his career.
