Project Scope:
The HSE appointed Tritech Group as nominated Mechanical Services Contractor for a complete refurbishment of the main hospital building. This 3-story listed building received a complete upgrade of mechanical services from LTHW, water, waste, mechanical heat recovery ventilation.
Client vision/objectives:
The client objective was to increase the HSE’s bed capacity in the shortest duration possible while ensuring HTM compliant throughout.
Unique challenges of the project:
The project was delivered as an essential services project in the fight against COVID-19. Works Commenced in October 2020 and was delivered on programme in June 2021. The building is a listed property therefore we had to overcome coordination challenges to avoid some building elements.
Tritech Methods/Innovations:
Tritech extensively surveyed the building to progress coordination elements so that we could commence the installation phase in parallel with design development process to overcome the building heritage compliance.
