Verifiable Sustainability

Central to Tritech’s Five Year Plan is to establish ourselves as the definitive leader in sustainability in Ireland’s M&E sector by delivering verifiable, CSRD-compliant sustainable engineering solutions.

Central to this goal is Tritech’s collaboration with Kayleigh Ann Myles, Sustainability Lead at Lawler Sustainability, to comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive across all projects.

This partnership ensures Tritech aligns with the European Green Deal, positioning the company to excel as CSRD compliance becomes mandatory in 2025.

By focusing on providing clients with proven, regulation-ready results that enhance property value and maintaining a sustainability-driven workforce and workplace, Tritech demonstrates an unwavering commitment to practising what it preaches.

What sets Tritech apart when it comes to sustainability?

Complete and utter transparency.

As engineering evolves to address the triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit, we focus on measurable, verifiable practices that comply with the local and international regulatory environment. From technology innovations to CSRD-compliant reporting, we empower our clients to achieve their performance goals for their real estate investment projects.

Greenwashing won’t cut it anymore!

1. Emphasis on Measurable Sustainability
Construction and engineering processes must focus on scientifically validated, provable sustainable practices, particularly for data centre and pharmaceutical sector projects, to meet regulatory demands and address climate change.

2. CSRD Compliance Requirements
The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), mandatory from 2025, requires companies to integrate non-financial environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosures into management reports. Double materiality assessments and data assurance are central to compliance.

3. Shifting Industry Standards
Traditional “greenwashing” is no longer acceptable; detailed and transparent reporting of sustainability efforts, aligned with the European Green Deal, is required to meet legal and market demands.

4. Practical Steps for Compliance
Companies must conduct a gap analysis, collect data for mandatory disclosures, prepare for third-party assurance, and adopt digital data tagging to align with CSRD and its 12 reporting standards.

5. Strategic Opportunity for Preparedness
CSRD compliance is both a legal obligation and a competitive advantage, as companies with robust ESG data will stand out in procurement processes and stakeholder evaluations, benefiting from enhanced reputation and market positioning.

Decarbonisation

5 key metrics to our 5 Year Plan

Decarbonisation is at the heart of Tritech’s five-year strategy. Acknowledging the vital role it plays in tackling climate change, Tritech sets a strong example across all sectors.

Two flagship projects in Dublin 2 highlight this commitment. The first, a Grade A, 70,000 sq/ft, seven-storey office building, is designed for LEED Platinum certification, BER A3 energy efficiency, WiredScore Platinum connectivity, WELL-enabled features, and NZEB compliance.

The second, a Grade A, 210,000 sq/ft, eight-storey office building, achieves similar benchmarks, including Carbon Zero operations and IoT smart building technology.

At Trinity College Dublin’s Hamilton Building, Tritech implemented energy-efficient solutions and diverted over 27 tonnes of waste from landfill, significantly reducing its environmental impact. Ireland faces a €160 billion investment challenge to meet national and EU climate goals, including a 51% emissions reduction by 2030 under the Climate Action Plan and Bill.

Aligning with these ambitions, Tritech integrates advanced sustainable technologies across energy, data centres, pharmaceutical campuses and commercial developments. By embedding decarbonisation into our operations, Tritech actively supports the European Green Deal’s net-zero emissions target for 2050, ensuring a lasting impact on commercial real estate sustainability.

LEED Certification & CSRD

The proof to back up your sustainability claims

Financial benefits of CSRD & LEED

Complying with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and achieving certifications such as LEED, WiredScore, and BREEAM in M&E projects offers substantial financial benefits. These standards require a strong commitment to energy efficiency, and responsible resource management, driving cost savings and supporting long-term profitability.

LEED-compliant buildings often benefit from reduced operational costs due to optimised energy and water usage, resulting in lower utility expenses. Additionally, efficient systems can extend the lifecycle of equipment, reducing maintenance and replacement costs.

CSRD compliance provides a framework for transparent sustainability reporting, fostering investor confidence and attracting funding from environmentally conscious stakeholders. It can also open access to green financing opportunities and grants designed to support sustainable developments.

Moreover, compliance with these standards can boost asset value, increase marketability, and appeal to tenants or buyers prioritising sustainability. Ultimately, CSRD and LEED compliance ensure a competitive edge while delivering measurable financial returns.

Establishing sustainability as a core value

Education is key.

Promoting a Greener Commute

At Tritech, we believe that fostering a greener commute not only reduces emissions but also cultivates a culture of environmental responsibility throughout the business.

As part of our continuous improvement initiatives, we challenge our team to “Do More” by embracing sustainable commuting options.

Programmes like the Cycle to Work scheme incentivise employees to make eco-friendly choices, contributing to long-term reductions in our carbon footprint.

Tritech has also expanded its fleet with the addition of Electric Vehicles (EVs), actively reducing harmful air pollution and eliminating exhaust emissions.
