Project Scope:

Tritech was appointed as Mechanical Services Contractor for the enabling works, shell & core enhancements and fitout of the cleanroom facility.

Client vision/objectives:

To establish VLE Therapeutics first factory of the future for the manufacture of advanced therapeutics and vaccines. VLE aimed to deliver a world class manufacturing infrastructure and a first-in-class digital architecture for GMP clinical drug substance manufacturing. Together VLE Therapeutics and APC will apply the latest innovations in process, analytical and manufacturing science to dramatically reduce time to market for the world’s newest and most advanced medicines.

Unique challenges of the project:

Coordinating MEP services above a Clean Room facility in a building originally designed for open planned office space. This lead to very in depth and strategic planning to accommodate the volume of services necessary to run the facility. Understanding and supplying the service needs of each of the medical equipment provided by the client.

The client had a milestone commitment to deliver their first Engineering batch for early 2022 and this required full commitment from each member of the project to bring it from concept to reality in 7 months!!

Our experience in engaging and partnering with the clients team to establish their needs and determine how they require the space to function resulted in scope changes during the build phase that ensured when we delivered the cleanroom the needs of the client were achieved.
