Tritech Engineering Ltd were appointed as the mechanical services contractor responsible for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the complete mechanical installation which comprises of the following:
Demolition of existing redundant services to accommodate access walkway on walk on ceiling, ductwork systems, VAV's, chilled water system, heating system, process cooling system, steam and condensate system, softened water system, condensate drainage system, compressed air system and BMS.
Tritech was responsible for generation of the Revit Model from LOD300 to LOD500 status, including all design, equipment and model data into the model. We had full responsibility for co-ordinating of Mechanical, Electrical, CSA, Cleanroom and Fire Protection systems within the structural elements of the building.
Our quality team managed the compilation of mechanical installation test packs and together with the project delivery team they validated the installation verification checks, operational checks, cleaning and testing, system walk-downs, system start-ups, system balancing and commissioning and final handover.
The client wanted a high level of detail and accuracy with the BIM model.
Unique challenges of the project:
The existing Revit model was not an accurate representation of the as installed installation. Clashes were identified that required considerable deviation from the original service routes.
Tritech experience in point cloud scanning meant we could scan the site and have a digital overlay in the model to address the rerouting requirements and commence the site works. We assisted the client in addressing the original content and the project was handed over with an accurate digital twin of the actual environment.
